I've been wanting to leave DeviantArt for a few years now because of different reasons. The messy front page being just one of them.
Then again, I'm not really leaving. I'm more or less taking a break for an unknown amount of time.
I've planned this for a while since my art situation is pretty bad. My current goals is to get back into drawing and improve it in the process. I also want to keep posting my art online, but I need somewhere less official to remove most of the pressure I have on my shoulders right now.
I'm not going to remove my art from my gallery, so people will still be able to find them there as always. Instead I've removed most of the widgets on my profile and all you'll find is this journal, the comment section, and my Shoutbox.
I'll still be around to stalk the people I watch and answer important notes etc. but I will not post more art here for the time being.
AND NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT PART!
If some of my watchers still wish to keep themselves updated with my art and progress, then I've made a password secured blog on Tumblr where I'll post all of my art during my break. From now on, this will be the only place where I'll post my artwork until further notice. It'll mostly consist of sketches, so keep that in mind.
If you still want follow my art, send me a note and I'll give you the password!

Is it still worth it?
It's been six years since my last journal entry and four years since I uploaded art a bit more frequently. It's safe to say that it's been a while and too many things have happened since then. I'm not truly the same person I used to be since then, with all the changes happening around me in my personal life. And DeviantArt has changed a lot too, which I will admit is one of the reasons I haven't dared to touch it or return in general. Even now I'm hesitating. With all the changes happening all over the internet, algorithms and the increased use of AI generated images, it's been really challenging to find a site where I can set my roots and try to grow as an artist and become part of a community. I've tried different sites for years, but they all seem to fall into the void one way or another, so I'm still trying to figure out where to start. On a break for now
Two days ago, I moved into a new house and have been pretty busy trying to settle in and get most of my belongings in place. I’m still waiting for a new desk I ordered a good while back so that I can bring my computer that I use for digital drawing over here, too. So until then I’ll be using another computer to browse the internet and chat.
The plan was for me to be active with traditional art during this period, but ever since I moved in here I’ve been pretty ill. I’m not sure what it is or what’s actually causing it, but I’m not able to do much other than resting on the couch with a blanket over me.

I'm one month late with this, but I still want to say happy new year!
I really hope January has gone well for you all and that you've gotten a very great start of the year! I've seen and heard of people not having a too grand 2016, while there's been those who had a pretty good time. Either way, I really hope 2017 will get better for everyone!

Any art related Instagram accounts?
It's been a little while now since I made my own Instagram account, where I've been spamming my more lesser sketches for some time now... but I've also found out that it's a pretty neat place to just browse through some art whenever I'm sitting with my phone or just chilling in my spare time, but I honestly don't follow enough art related accounts.
So I just wondered if anyone know of, or even have their own, Instagram account that consist mainly of art? I do not mind following blogs that also post about personal life and such next to that, just as long as it doesn't drown out everything.
I'm not really looking for anything super specific.
